Terms of Use
Last updated 2 November 2026
By using DumbSocial you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Not affiliated
DumbSocial is independent. It isn't made, endorsed or supported by Meta (Instagram, WhatsApp), Discord or Google (YouTube). Their names are used only to say which accounts you can connect.
Your accounts on other networks
When you connect an account, DumbSocial signs in to it on your behalf, the way a web browser does. Instagram, WhatsApp and Discord don't officially support this and may ask you to confirm it's you, or limit or suspend the account. You choose which accounts to connect and you're responsible for following those networks' rules. Turning on two-factor authentication first is strongly recommended.
Using DumbSocial
- Don't use it to spam, harass, impersonate, or send anything illegal.
- Don't try to break, overload, or get into parts of the service that aren't yours.
- Keep your Apple ID secure; anyone who can sign in with it can use your DumbSocial account.
We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other people at risk.
The service
DumbSocial is provided as is, without warranties. Networks change without notice, so features can stop working, messages can be delayed or missed, and we may change or end the service. We'll try to warn you first. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, or for anything that happens to your accounts on other networks. Nothing here limits rights you have under New Zealand consumer law.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app (Inbox → Settings → Delete account). It disconnects every network and erases your data from our server, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
